Ontario: Spectacular Fly-In Fishing Lodge
Located in a beautiful wilderness setting and more than 140 air miles northeast of International Falls, Minnesota, this lodge consistently produces some of the very best fishing in all of Ontario. Situated on a lake with over 130 miles of shoreline and an average depth of only 20 feet, the fishery here offers superb angling for Northern pike, walleye and Smallmouth bass. The outfitter here was one of the first in northwestern Ontario to implement conservation policies to protect and enhance the sustainability of the fishery and the results have been outstanding! There are more 40”+ pike, 28”+ walleyes and 19” + smallmouths being caught today than at any time in recent history.
This can be attested to by the many longtime guests of this lodge, who regularly report that the fishing today is even better than when they first started visiting the lodge decades ago. The main lodge and adjacent guest cabins provide comfortable accommodations and the food service is superb. Boats and motors are maintained in tip-top condition and the guide staff is both knowledgeable with the fishing here and eager to please their guests. In addition to full American Plan Packages at the main lodge, there is also the choice of light-housekeeping cabins and outpost cabins for anglers on a limited budget. Add it all up and you won’t find a better place to fish or a better value than this gem of the Ontario wilderness.
